attempting to play the prelude from Bach’s cello suite no.1
only not really.
Part of the assignment was to chat with people and make a friend on there.
The guy that befriended me was…a 45-yo man who was disappointed with his marriage and used SL to escape.
I don’t want to play SL anymore.
No words are needed here.
This is a blessing in disguise.
My friend Amy got me to join Second Life, mostly so we could give people a hard time. This fellow was wearing camouflage pants. We pretended we couldn’t see his legs. Some woman felt it was necessary to let us know that he really had legs.
Thank you for the enlightenment.
You get an A+ for grief.
Anyone wanna give me their names? I don’t have many friends :(
i couldn’t even figure out how to make my avatar’s face ok in this game
^ That’s because SL sucks. Learn from this.
Well, you’re gonna get it.
And no, I absolutely do not mean our real or avatar names. You’ll get a story.
We, the admins here at I Have A Second Life created this blog for a very specific reason: to enlighten and help anyone who may be caught up in the SL trap of doom. What gives us the right to talk and judge? Well, we’re just like you. Or, at least…we were. We spent months on end behind our computers, playing SL as if it were a full time job. We made friends from around the globe, we even “fell in love” with kind words and cute shapes.
For a while it was all good fun, we joked and laughed, roleplayed and danced in “clubs”. We enjoyed it, we truly did. But then…things started to happen. We started to miss out on real life, just so we could have our pixelated ones. Our “relationships” fell to pieces, and we found ourselves heartbroken over avatars, over people we didn’t really know. And from then on, we took a stand.
It was difficult, but we broke away from SL’s grasp. We made real friends, we got real jobs, and enrolled in real schools. Now, we’re living. Living for real. And we want to extend this to you all, even if it doesn’t apply to each and every one of you. We know that there are a few of you who can separate real life from second life, but we’re here to make the line clear, just in case.
